Hello and welcome to a new year at Yuma Community Theater!
On behalf of your Board of Directors, I need to let everyone associated with Yuma Community Theater that Yuma Community Theater will not be performing at Gila Ridge High School this season due to a multitude of scheduling conflicts. This came as quite a shock to our organization but it is what it is and we must move forward. Gila Ridge Performing Arts Center has been our performance venue for the past six years and we want to thank Gila Ridge High School for allowing us to perform our plays in a state of the art auditorium.
The YCT Board of Directors and a few other chosen individuals have been tirelessly and diligently searching for a new performance and/or rehearsal venue since the beginning of August. We have been tired, exhausted, working on weekends and holidays and braving the Yuma temperatures as we continued to search through a long list of buildings and/or facilities to accommodate our needs as a live performing theatre group. We are still searching for venues but as of this letter it appears as though YCT will be performing in different locations in Yuma. We believe in keeping our organization and all of performances in one venue but it appears as though this may not be the case this year.
Here is what we do know. Our seating will very simplistic. All seating and tickets will be one price this season. Currently we will be unable to accommodate reserved seating or season tickets. Instead we are offering a reduced price to all, just $10 per ticket. Tickets (are on sale now) so please continue to check out our website and Facebook page for updated information.
YCT would like to thank you for your understanding and patience during this time of change within our organization and of course your continued support and patronage throughout the years. We have a great season of plays for you this year! First: “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”. Secondly: “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do” (our season musical) and ending our season with Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”.
“The Show Must Go On!”
